Joanie: It's because I'm a woman! That's why, you know! Because I'm a middle-aged woman, no school will ever take a chance on me! My manual! Where's my law school manual? Oh,, here it is... stamps? Oh, and my yellow legal pads! Have I got enough?: Ooh, why is law school so complicated? Ginny, why am I going to law school? What if it doesn't work out? What if I'm bored by it? What if I'm no good at it? What if I just can't cut the mustard? Speaker: Ms. Joan Caucus! Joanie: Ta da!

It looks impossible until you succeed. (Much like my current search for a job.)

@SKJAM!
I’ve been where you are. In 2003, the tech company I worked for slashed its workforce. I took a job as an assistant manager for a drug store — 6 days, up to 70 hours a week. I hated it but it allowed me to meet my responsibilities. Sometimes, we have to take what is available. Eventually, I landed a job in the IT department of a financial services company, a job that paid better and I enjoyed doing.

The school she “attended”—Boalt?—actually had a seat for her at that graduation. I love when he real world goes along with the fictional sometimes.
