doc I agree with you completely, people overdo the texting. I use the phone for talking, only text when that is only option

Some people choose it because it can be way cheaper in the long run. You can get unlimited texting for a small charge, and then go with the lowest airtime plan they have.

Big in schools. No need to pass paper notes. Students text test question to someone who can look up answer, text it back. Many uses if the teacher snoozes. New rules for new technology needed.
