One definite vote NO for anchovies!

When I was a young one, my friends and I used to go down the street and watch the Ides of March practice out of their garage in the summer. Never had a clue they would make such a big hit with “Vehicle”.

Wow, when was the last time we saw Nick? I had almost forgotten him. And he’s weirdly small, don’t you think?

Worcestershire sauce is made using anchovies; that’s the only way I’ll let them come anywhere near me.

Nick shrunk with the new cartoonist. Something to do with union rules, I think.

The bag of Cesar salad I get at the grocery store doesn’t have any anchovies in it. (Which is fine with me.)

It is true that the original Caesar Salad is thought to have not included anchovies, but to me it isn’t a Caesar without anchovies. For those of you that prefer it without, I will gladly eat your share.

Nick: “I come not to praise Caesar salad, but to bury it. The good that anchovies do oft lies interr’d with their many, many, tiny little bones; the evil smell lives after them. So let it be with Caesar salad.”

    “Al-eeeeeeeejh!”

The only time I’d eat anchovies was on my Grandmother’s homemade pizza. It was amazing!

    “Ah-BEEEEEEEETZ!”

    “Hold the a-leeeejh!”

(Alici (better known as “aleeejh”), is how you say anchovy in Italian.)

It is only the canned anchovies that have a strong flavor. And, as I said, how I love that flavor.

I convinced one of my old girl friends to have anchovies on pizza. She said that she had never had them, but she hated them (?) She absolutely loved them on pizza once she tried them. She liked them “soooo much” that she bought a jar of them and ate them straight. That’s when she learned that you don’t do that.
