Why does it have a live axle and differential up front? Is the lowrider set turning these things into 4x4s now?
(Actually they’d be pretty capable given all the air suspension and flex they usually build into them)
I fell in love with a ‘66 Jaguar E-type when I was 7 years old - After high school, I saved for 14 years to get it, mortgaged the farm for 30 years to do a nut-and-bolt restoration (it was literally showroom new when I was finished), drove it for another 9 years, discovered the new Lotus Elise and sold the Jag 3 weeks later. I don’t miss it at all.
Only panels 2 and 4 look anything like the 64 Impala that he is on record as lusting after. And even in panel 4, the instrument pod is too wide None of the other frames resemble anything in particular. The artist is obviously not a gearhead. But maybe he could at least use Google images for reference?
I like Volkswagen Beetles. I mean the OLD ones, particularly if they’ve been well-maintained, but the beat-up ones chugging along held together by bubblegum and baling wire have their charms too.
If I had the skills, tools, and money, I’d buy an old Beetle and customize it to look like the Batmobile from the old TV show. That would be sweet.
The only problem is that I’m a big guy, and I don’t fit into them very well…

Ah, spring – when a young man’s fancy turns to thoughts of … a banana-yellow ‘64 Impala ragtop.

When I was about 16 or so, my older cousin had a baby yellow ‘62 Impala rag-top…I was very akin to Baldo at the time…

The taillights on this car are not 64 Impala. Looks more like a 66 or 67 Galaxie. The front looks like a Chebby.

nighthawks, that car might be many things, but one thing it’s NOT is a Rambler (whose horn goes “beep beep beep”).

Baldo, dream on! Sighhhhhhh!
By the way, I fall in love about 2010 Nissan Murano. It is such a beauty. Someday, I am gonna get it for sure!
Hareball, yeah that taillights on car looked like 66 or 67 Ford Galaxie. Impala should have red “cat eye” taillights.
