Either way, why would you allow an ex girlfriend to move him with you and your beau? That’s just asking for trouble!

Dry, maybe because most real life is not like “reality” TV. People can be civilized, rational, committed, faithful, and drama-free – it happens. However, the type of person portrayed by the character Clare almost invites the worst by her (or his) irrational fears.

In fact, I think it speaks highly of Paul that he is still able to be friends with his ex. If they have the ability to help (which by most of the world’s standards they do even if not by Manhattan standards) and have the maturity not to create unnecessary drama (of this I am not so certain) then there’s no reason not to help if all other alternatives have been exhausted (as in, it’s either here or on the street).

Be jealous, and you may be right (at least then you’ll know); or you may be wrong and end up driving him away from you because of your jealousy and lack of trust.

Be trusting, and you may be wrong (at least then you’ll know), or you may be right and your relationship will be that much stronger and enduring.

Seems to me only one of these two choices can end well.

    Right.

If someone wants to be with me, they will be with me. If not, then not. Trying to insulate them from others is useless, and even counter productive.
