…and the Doctor couldn’t tell which one was his patient? C’mon, they’ll wake you up every couple of hours for some pill, or to take a sample, or something or other, without mercy.
If they can’t wake you, they’ll do what they need to, and go on.
Because nurses who smoke are often conspicuously standing outside hospitals, some people may think many nurses are smokers. Actually, only about 15% of RNs smoke.
Typical. The nurse can accomplish what the doctor couldn’t. I’ve been a nurse for a long time, and I’ve never seen a pink, long-sleeved uniform. I remember the late, non-lamented HATS, but not long sleeves. That was from the WWII era, I think.
So who says she is a nurse? Could be a ‘pink’ lady or hospital volunteer. The young girls are the candy strippers and the volunteers wear the pick uniforms and are called pink ladies or gentlemen.

They should have had a nurse wake him up. They wake you up to ask if you want a sleeping pill.

Maybe they were drugged by the staff. I hope they all still have their kidneys! I’ve read about things like that.

Are the characters in this strip still getting older or are they frozen in time now like the characters in Blondie?

I haven’t seen a nurse wearing a uniform like that - much less a hat - in years. Today, they all wear scrubs!

Ya gotta remember, this is a very traditional town. The old ways are the best ways. Hmmmm, usually…

It’s hard to tell which one is older except Corky still has some black hair.
Nurses used to always wear white and nail polish was forbidden.
