    Two things worth mentioning: the proto-Kat resembles a future Sterrett Kitty more than Krazy AndThe strip can be read vertically as well as horizontally… Maybe because of the simplicity of the strip’s premise or maybe because Garge was a genius. Or both

    Less ecological than health craze; like modern-day anime fans, there was a subculture of people in the early 20th Century who thought that Japanese lifestyle had much to teach Americans.
