It is a good thing for children to know that their parents are proud of them and love them enough to tell others about them - but it is often odious to those who don’t care to hear about it.
Like listening to a braggart or some guy with an experience that he just keeps perseverating on.
More annoying to me were the bumper stickers by the terribly insecure people who felt that they had to explain why they were driving modest vehicles by stating, “My other car is a …….” as if anyone else even cares!! And the opinion of anyone who judges you based upon the type of car you drive isn’t worth caring about.
