I don’t think anybody gives out full sized candy bars anymore. And cell phones are all the rage! Welcome to the future!

Trick or treat! While the practice of going door to door asking for treats on holidays has been around since the Middle Ages, when was the phrase “trick or treat” coined?A. 1887B. 1913C. 1927D. 1939

    C. 1927. The term “trick or treat” first appeared in an Alberta, Canada newspaper, which stated that “youthful tormentors were at back door and front demanding edible plunder by the word ‘trick or treat.’”

I beat a kid up once about 1960, when he told me not to go to a certain house because he lived there and they were out of candy(they were). Moral: never challenge an Alpha male on Halloween. BTW, I’m not really a bully, and I felt really bad about it later. I’m going to blame all that sugar!

In 2004 we laughed at those huge brick cell phones circa 1993. Now in 2014 everyone is bragging “my phone is larger than yours!”
