yes, the human body , with all of it’s wonders, still likes to play tricks on you as you age— hair increasing in places where you didn’t want any in the first place at the same time the hair on the head recedes and thins…doesn’t seem fair

In ancient Rome, shaving was a rite of passage; the removal of a boy’s first beard was part of his initiation into adulthood. When the Celts (not a shaving culture) first encountered the Romans, they thought they had come upon a race of effeminate men because they had never seen anyone without beards except women.
Later, as a result of a number of broken treaties and alliances, the Celts first coined the phrase “Bald-faced liar” (or Bare-faced Liar) to describe Romans and their treachery.
