Katy: If we want a good candy haul, we have to plan, ahead, Clayton. Clayton: Why are some houses starred? Katy: Those are all houses that have handed out king-size candy bars in the past. Clayton: Ooh. You gotta love the king-size. Katy: I marked the fun-size houses with little disappointed faces.

First, convince the parents there will be a lot of kids trick or treating so they will stock up on lots of candy. Then, make sure the parents buy only the candy you would want for yourself. Finally, at the last minute convince your parents they should turn off the outside lights and lock the front door on Halloween..Ok, this didn’t happen to my wife and me; but you gotta admit, there are some creative kids out there…

I figure if a candy bar really wants to be “fun” size, it would be the size of my forearm, not the size of my thumbnail.

the advantage of “fun” or “extra small” sizes – is when you hit the houses where they just grab a handful for each kid. Sunmaid raisin boxes. The teeny tiny boxes. One girl in my class LOVED raisins! So those of us who weren’t so enamoured – just handed them over. Tradies not necessary.
