This is true..My sister had a 1974 Pinto station wagon..You put 4 people in it and it got lousy gas mileage..
I get the best “gas mileage” when I take a long walk after a meal of pork and beans…
I wore an economy sized hatchback for a few years. It was like riding a Moped with a big windscreen. If I turned on the A/C at highway speed, the car slowed. I’m driving a “stretch” Mini Cooper these days, much better, with great mpg.
