And now Oregon and Alaska will have more roaches too! (D.C. voted for it, but let’s see what Congress does as they have authority over the District.)

Actually, TS Elliot had it right, ‘…not with a bang, but a wimper.’ The sun will become a red giant star in about five billion years, converting helium in its core to carbon and oxygen. Then a billion years after that it will become a planetary nebula, where its outer layers will be gently puffed off into space. Earth will be gradually and gently vaporized.

Or, if you prefer, in a few years, god gunna call all his lil chilluns home.

In either case, cockroaches will need more than twinkies to survive.

After Verne’s comment, RJ really should rethink his costume. Verne did not say roaches AND Twinkies.

The cockroaches will soon die after because they wont eat the twinkies.

I want to be a heroine user. Wonder Woman can tie me up and make me tell the truth anytime!

Apologies Nighty – it was too good to pass up ;-)

Nab: just a fact, Colorado reported a few weeks ago that DUII accidents are down some 40% already, and crime rates are down. Washington’s law just kicked in, but crime is down.

As to brain rot, I know Oregon very, very, well, and METH is a severe problem across the country, and causes the brain effects you describe, however, marijuana does NOT, and in fact, the “medical marijuana” law has been working very well, though yes, obvious abuse has also occurred, yet at the same time thousands are getting their medicine which does NOT rot their brains or kill them like opiate pain killers, anti-depressants and psychoactives like lorazepam, or muscle relaxants like diazepam.

I have questions about enforcement of DUII and under-age posession, but getting growers off the public lands, and removing the ridiculous effort to restrict a product that is NOT a narcotic, and throw people in jail for its use, is a good thing. (BTW: alcohol is also many times more dangerous than pot, as is tobacco.)

ALSO that Oregon, noted for its forests, can now grow INDUSTRIAL HEMP, and fill the need for fiber products much more cheaply, efficiently, and environmentally sanely, than cutting down those forests for hamburger wrappers, and produce rope, clothing, fabrics, foodstuffs(yep), and other products is also GREAT!
