thanks Bev, I do believe I’ll take you up on your offer, I’m plumb tuckered out dodging all the mud slinging of the last few days. I’m glad its all over and if your candidate won, congrats, and if not, well……..
So, should I drink a toast or a sympathetic swig here? I hope your candidates won tonight. 2Old, you should have a nice hot bubble bath to wash off the mud. I know what post election nights feel like.
Gosh, the Tiki is quiet. I must say though, that watching Joe flip out like that was entertaining. I’ve done that myself. My friend couldn’t stop laughing long enough to see if I was okay. I lost some spokes from my wheels and hobbled and wobbled the last few mimes in the rain with blood streaming from my knee. A nice farmer put Lysol on my knee. After that, nothing mattered but getting home to get a tetanus shot from my friend’s father, who was a doctor. Joe, I feel your pain.
Hi SUSAN! I can’t get to sleep. And I have lost track if time. Sorry about that Fenton. I am SO embarrassed, calling you “Fireman”. Lack of sleep does that to me.
I was wandering around comicsland…can’t go too far in this sleepy condition.
It’s fairly easy work, at the polls…except for the fact that the greatest need for accuracy, speed, adherence to instructions and attention to details comes at the very end of a sixteen hour shift…and I’d only slept 3 hours Monday night.
We eat sweets and salty snack food, drink coffee late… break every health and dietary rule…just to keep ourselves from nodding off…
I tried to ride a bike once, after about 30 years of not having rode on one. I also disproved the old saying.I also proved that blood really is thicker than water…
Since these days I am wobbly at best, the only kind of bicycle I will ride is a 3-wheeled one. I do always get here, Susan, Bev, Shika, I just get here later. Fenton, could I please have a ’nanner dak, and something with lots of chocolate?
Good morning every one here at Ballard St.I still ride. funny, thing;after a strokelike experince, long story how i came to find that i still could ride, when I was having trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time, then. Thanks to this and other web sites,i have gotten back, much of what was lost. Blah, blah, blah… :) Peace.
Yes, Happy Guy Fawkes! Most of my candidates won (except for a couple of Dems, I don’t vote a straight party ticket).
@Bev, maybe that was his problem (trying to ride a bike on rails). I like the idea of a 3-wheeled bike that folds (had a 2 wheel folding one in IL but sold it when I moved to AZ). In Sun City they allow golf carts on the streets, so a bike would be safe to ride (not in my current neighborhood). It does not look like it folds very compactly (I just checked one out).HERE
The mystery novel I’m currently reading referred to a Whiskey-mac (which a search told me is made with this product). As I thought myself rather an experienced drinker, I wonder how many know this?

Love the “cyclelogical” damage, 2OLD, GETTING YOUNGER!
Affi,That sounds worse than my fall, although mine was pretty spectacular. I hit the brakes at the top of a hill on gravel and spin out of control, flipping head over heels with the bike landing on top of me. Not quite as tidy as Joe though.

Maybe he forgot that he never knew how to ride a bike.

Hi all…I’m sort of back…still almost half awake…. but am I on the right planet?

I might get one like this for SC. Good for when the price of gas goes up again.

I don’t really care at this time about folding (I guess) and I’m in another tab chatting with a possibility.
