Ahh, Grenoble, the first Winter Olympics shown in color on TV, introducing us to the amazing skiing of Jean Claude Killy and the exquisite skating of the lovely Peggy Fleming and her chartreuse dress: https://www.google.com/search?q=Peggy+Fleming+image&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=mFyAVJaeIYeeyATZ1YCABw&ved=0CB0QsAQ#facrc=&imgdii=&imgrc=r5jAJ5Fpf-2AOM%253A%3ByE1gSVfK-IoGRM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fimg002.lazygirls.info%252Fpeople%252Fpeggy_fleming%252Fpeggy_fleming_peggy_fleming1_L9jK5cp.sized.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.lazygirls.info%252FPeggy_Fleming%252FPeggyFleming1L9jK5cp%3B417%3B336
Flashback to the outskirts of the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France! Glad it’s being rerun!
Doesn’t Snoopy know he even went to France in the 1980 animated Peanuts movie (the last one until next year’s 2015 Peanuts movie) “Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown”?
Snoopy always did plan ahead…….It’s too bad Snoopy’s characters couldn’t interact with each other, the way some other comedians will let their sketch characters interact in their one-man shows. That would’ve been incredible. Snoopy was still the greatest fictional character of the 20th century in any medium, movies, plays, novels, TV, operas, and other comic strips, as far as I’m concerned.

Just focus on the skating. I am sure that the Olympic Committee will make the travel arrangements.

Without France’s help we would still be a British colony. (and without our help France would be part of Germany). Paybacks CAN be good.

Linus made Snoopy lose his concentration in the last panel.
The only place I’ve been abroad to is France.

André the Giant was from Grenoble, and might have had just a bit too much French wine from time to time…
