I finally got a smart phone, turns out you have to be smart to use it 8>(Actually I signed up at the library for e-books, now I have a book to read while I am waiting, for my wife, for the Doctor for…
The charger hasn’t changed since the original iPhone of 2007; it still has a female USB socket, so you can plug the iPhone into either the charger or your computer.
The /other/ end of the cable changed in 2012 with the iPhone 5, from the clunky old 30-pin that came in with the original iPod to the neat little “Lightning” plug, but the cable is a separate unit from the charger.
Well, I just changed from a 4S to a 6+, and the improvement in the plug at the iPhone end is terrific. (Not that there aren’t a lot of other improvements from a 4S to a 6+, but the “Lightning” plug is really much nicer than the 30-pin was.) Yes, making the change is a problem, because of the various accessories, but I’m still glad of it.

“Hello, Skeezix! This is Nina!” After all these decades, he still doesn’t recognize her voice?

And a charger is cheaper than a phone.

Maybe she should switch to Android. Or even a Windows phone. No, that would be totally unbelievable.

Can you really buy chargers for “old” technology? I thought that was all part of the planned obsolescence!(Still running XP Pro on my downstairs box!)
