I was re-watching âHoliday Innâ (Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire) and was amazed when they donned blackface! I hadnât remembered that part. And the sympathetic Mammy character and chillunâ.It wasnât malicious, it was the times, I guess, but even so⊠A good movie other than that (the debut of the song âWhite Christmasâ).

Also brings to mind the â30s B&W Warner Bros cartoons they donât show anymore.

You can pick up Song of the South in Europe pretty easily, Disney is not so ashamed it wonât sell it (and since it is based on far older tales, why should they be ashamed) but is smart enough not to court the lawsuits Al Sharpton or someone will file if you can buy it here.
