They grow some huge cabbage in Germany and Alsace for the sauerkraut industry. Like 10 lbs a head. This must be the same breed.

My favorite cabbage painting is “Innocent Wedding” by Eugene Buland where the newly married couple still thinks babies are found in a cabbage patch.
