Jason, of course, wasn’t around in the late 60s…. (I was lucky; though I didn’t read the books before the paperbacks came out, which was at the time the official indicator of a /true/ fan, I at least picked them off a spinner, not knowing what they were, and with no idea that a craze was going to start in the next few weeks.)
Since when is being a Star Wars fan not manstream? That franchise has quite a fan base as well, probably even more than LOTR (the movies, anyway). And Paige really only liked it because of Orlando Bloom as Legolas.
Poor Jason, Star Wars is as mainstream as sci-fi/fantasy gets. You gotta get really into Homestuck, or Edgar Allen Poe, or the history of carpet or something

It’s popular, so it sucks.

Gee, I wonder what movies Mrs. Fox is into. (I know there was that storyline about “Titanic” with Leonardo Dicaprio, but really.)

Don’t worry Jason not everyone is willing to dress up like you do; except the thousands who go to the Comic-Con events.
