Customer: Excuse me! These were on sale for $5.99 yesterday. Customer: Can I buy it at yesterday's price? Baldo: Sure! If you can travel back in time to yesterday. Customer: So, is there a coupon for that? Baldo: Sorry, we just ran out.
I worked retail for over 22 years and I have to agree with Anatole. I remember one customer had an item she thought was on sale but it was coming up about $10 more than the sale price, so I went back with her to check on the item and found out that the sale price was for a different lamp and she’d just grabbed one that another customer and left in the wrong place when they found the sale ones. It was obvious that the sale lamps and the one she had were totally different and I even took the time to show her the differences, in the end she decided she still preferred the one she had and when we got back to the cashier she complained because I wouldn’t give her the lamp at the sale price.
