So Shoe do you remember how many drinks it took to pick her up?

You have to remember that that was after Shoe had had a few beers !!

I’ve been picking up AM stations (at night) since 1972.We called it “DXing”

Booker: It has something to do with the ionosphere.General Colt: Well get the ionosphere the hell out of here. We ’ve got the ball game on.

When I was a kid it was called “skip”. Lived in Pa., got some good stations out of Cincinnati and Chicago at night.

I live in the upper Ohio Valley. In the early 60’s, I could get WBZ out of Boston at night, also, a station in New York City, one in Chicago, and once, even a station out of New Orleans.

In Salt Lake I used to listen to Art Bell on a station out of Albuquerque. ABQ came in clearer than the local station.
