Most stores are closed so she couldn’t go buy it. Her gravy is the fat off the meat mixed with water added to the bottled stuff.I agree Ryan . There is a lot of salt in bottled gravy I personally don’t like it. Homemade is better and really cheaper.

Haven’t seen Joy’s shirt in a long time… used to be one of my favorites.
When I was a kid, every holiday meant turkey.
Now nobody seems to roast another turkey for Christmas….
Last year when I went to Christmas dinner, it was lasagna…good lasagna… but….somehow…. that just ain’t right.
As for a recipe…they use Stovetop stuffing mix.Marlene’s “recipe” was the one on the box… with her own unique touch “Use half a cup less water.”

I imagine Burl just got a bottle of gravy for his drink to wash down all the food he ate with minimal chewing.
