    Seriously, I’ve seen the pair of hawks (whose nest I’ve watched 3 seasons) struggle with a rather stiff branch that did not want to weave well into the nest. Usually it was brought back by the male (who is better at hunting the food) and the female (who spends more time on the nest) may scold him for it.

    I once had a “stick crazy” dog who did exactly this, while out camping, with a rather long skinny tree trunk (about eight feet long). He’d managed to balance it at the weight center and, head back, was prancing back to camp when he went between two trees that were only five feet apart.

    I learn more things here than anywhere! And yet this is called “Birdbrains”. But that bird needs to read these comments before he does that again!
