If you tuned in yesterday, you know I’m conducting a little experiment. The day after I post my Last Kiss comic, I’m posting the vintage comic book art that inspired it. I hope you enjoy seeing the original!
Those hedges still look like trees, and that still looks like the 50 foot couple. I’m having fun imagining the logistical nightmare of their date, though. Where do they buy their clothes, and where are they going to find suitably sized “protection”?
I do kinda want to know why, if their love is so pure, they have to hide in the bushes. Maybe it’s because his tie is so ugly. I like this new format by the by.
John, I’m not sure that’s a good idea. in fact, it kind a took it away for me. If I want to see the original we can go to the link you sometimes provide. It also further emphasizes that you did not create this strip, you copied its artwork. We know you did create it but, these snappy modern lyrics you put in these old time cartoons speak for them selves. Conclusion, don’t make this change .
I like the idea of posting the originals here the next day rather than having to follow the link. If there are people who do not like it, they simply have the option of not viewing the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday postings.
