Not a lot of humans in this strip, so I’ve wondered whether everybody in town can hear and talk with cats, or only a few, like Rob and his dad.

I guess cats and dogs and ferrets in Boston can all speak….unless there are a few non-anthropomorphic ones around, in the wild…. or maybe to be pets to the ones who do speak…or to people who couldn’t handle having a talking pet.

Susan, I thought the same thing….But yeah, the more I think about it, most people in the strip are able to hear those little dudes…..

I’d rather have the animals converse with the humans straight out rather than use the stupid thought bubbles that everyone seems to understand anyway. It is after all, a universe created by the cartoonist and he can have it any way he likes it.

I’ve always thought of Get Fuzzy as a well done, funny version of Garfield. All the same characters but done right and fun to read.

I think one of Rob’s friends ‘animal sits’ for him sometimes.
