Or a sidewalk!
Hmm. Makes me think this could have been a Chinese comic.
This comic strip has such different connotations decades later.
I didn’t know kid’s could talk about wanting a sex change in the 1950s
Now we know what ultimately happened to Shermy – Snoopy started talking to Schultz, and…
Well good ol’ Sparky knew something back then… do we know when this was first published?
Isn’t it a Orthodox Jewish daily prayer to thank God you were not born a woman?
And here I thought it was just an innocent and thoughtful comment… until he upset Snoopy!
Cold comfort! Cold, heartless, sexist comfort!
Snoopy is starting to look more like the Snoopy we’ve come to know: Less point in the nose (although it could just be the angle we see him from).
Much much later, Snoopy would muse to himself: “Some of us are born people, and some are born dogs. Why is this, I wonder? Why was I the lucky one?”
The basic DNA recipe has only 4 ingredients. With a quick stir she could have been anything fauna or flora.
Hmmm, looks like a clear case of Peanuts envy…
That is just mean, Shermie. Sherman. Whatever!
Girls rarely think this kind of thing unless they’ve essentially been told they are inferior beings by those around them, especially parents. It’s not about gender confusion.
Gosh…this guy was humorously intelligent!
