Back in the sixties a neighbour kid wanted 30 dollars to mow my mom’s lawn. The mowable part was very small, since most of the lot was vegetable garden and driveway. I can still remember the rant!!
…shoveling, OTOH, is more of a neighborly sharing: they have a snowblower, so I do the shoveling and cars for both while they do the heavy stuff with the machine.
