If they were a few years older with these same basic personalities and attitude towards Charlie Brown this might have been the start of a cat fight. Course in a few years Schulz will change their personalities and they won’t like Charlie Brown all that much.

Um… when do references of the red-headed girl come in?

That huge round head of his apparently helps him to get all the girls (at least for another couple years…….) The early “Peanuts” frequently had a generic kids strip feel to it with only rare flashes of the work of genius that it would eventually become. If Charlie Brown had stayed popular, and Patty and Violet had stayed nice, would anybody even remember it now? (Let alone if Snoopy had stayed a dog……)
