The course is shown too long — should be about 4 inches.

More like 0.001KThat would be 39 inches, just slightly over a yard.

I agree with Phyllis Diller who once said, “My favorite exercise is a good brisk sit.”

So you are saying that the only one with enough enthusiasm to finish the race, is the guy who painted the sign?

Wow, that’s a big number in nanometers. Hurrah! Go the distance or fail!

My favorite is the “Second Annual Going Out of Business Sale”.

The way they are packed together at the starting gate, it is more likely to be a mashed couch potato .00010K…

Regarding yesterday’s strip….Sorry, but I looked up “wale” and all I found were references to some “rapper”. I just didn’t see any connection unless this so called “artist” wears corduroy…

I have been thinking of having some oval car stickers made that say “<0.1”.

Finally. I found MY race. I might be able to finish this one. Being unable to walk IS no joke folks! When the buzz-word “Exercise or die” doesn’t fit, then what??

One of my pet peeves is people who get their undies in a bunch over the use of the term “First Annual.” It denotes intent – it is the first occurrence of an event that is intended to happen on an annual basis. Calling it “inaugural” is grammatically preferred, but it does not convey any information about the event except that it is its first occurrence. Do the hosts intend to hold the event weekly? Monthly? Quarterly? Every year? Every 4 years? #@$%&! the grammarians – if the event planners hope that their event will happen on an annual basis, I would much rather have them label it as “first annual” than the vague “inaugural.” (Also – if an event happens only twice, with the second occurrence being one year after the first, is it truly annual? Even “second annual” seems a bit hopeful and speculative to me.)

To be a challenge, it should at least be further than it is from the couch to the bathroom and back, or from the couch to the fridge and back. This is no more challenging than it is to find the remote on the other end of the couch.

Actually, if you scaled it to the height of the runners, which would be about 1.7m, the course looks like about 2m. The distance as given would be 10cm, or a little over 4in (2.54cm/in), or about half the width of the start line.
