Mr. Stantis: Are you quite sure that this is not a weasel? That might have gotten you a funnier metaphore.
bh12: Much nicer. I like the more even-handed approach. Here are three thoughts for you:Now, as we can see, there is a inherent problem in summing up something as complex as a presidncy in 1 – 2 lines, and, short lines at that. For example, Eisenhower; he was, indeed, the major driving force for our Interstate system. But there was much more; some good, some not so good and some that we may never figure out. An example of all three at the same time would be the establishment of the foundations of both the CIA and NSA. Ol’ Ike had a lot to do with this – probably. The results are a bit of a mix as viewed from today. We have some good, some bad, and some downright ugly — still in the news today. You have two worst presidencies on your list. Since, today, both of these will be obvious to some and completely wrong to others, you might want to add some convincing data to your claim, or simply state this as a prediction about the consensus of history, to be determined. By way of comparison, have a look at Truman and the 80th Congress; Democrat as President, House and Senate firmly controlled by the Republicans. This was called at the time as the “Do Nothing Congress”. This should sound fairly familiar to us today. And, at the time, Truman was thought to be somewhere in the “worst presidency” category. Yet, today, 60+ years on, this is not the verdict of history. As a short example of Truman presidency data, the Marshall Plan saved a big segment of humanity in Europe, and probably gained for the USA a valuable stock of goodwill that still remains today.

Man, you really need a girlfriend. Or maybe to take a shower, put on some clean clothes and get out of your mom’s basement.

Conservatives, meanwhile, simply make “stuff” up and pass it off as “fact”. See ‘No-Go Zones’ for reference.

Anything that involves ferrets has to be good — or at least fun to watch. Let’s just be sure it’s not a weasel in drag.

(a) it’s a pun, not a metaphor. Not by any stretch.(b) it’s not a start. It’s the best he could come up with.
