Again, agribusiness applying hormones and chemicals has NOTHING to do with vaccines.

What, do you mean I’m not the only one who does not love those giant taste-free strawberries?

Science has made our produce more pest resistant while extending the shelf life of fruits and vegetables. Both of these things help the average consumer. People opposed to all forms of genetic engineering (organic movement) wish to eliminate this choice and impose their views on everyone else.

As long as there’s a choice, no big deal: if you want the extra flavor, go for it! If you want the year-round availability and shelf life, have at it!That’s why the FSM made both rotini and rigatoni!

Vaccines save lives and wipe out disease. Chemicals from pesticides cause cancers and misfiring of the brain signals in some children. Pesticides we currently use on strawberries have been banned in other countries as a possible carcinogen. Chemicals are not always bad and can be helpful in daily life. In our food…..not so much.

Organic farming, which is a good thing, only succeeds because the vast majority of agricultural land keeps the pest (weed, disease, and bug) populations under control. It’s good to have a choice, it’s necessary to have enough food.

Yeah, there certainly is biological confusion in the strip. As to flavor it is right. I do not know how many of you have had tiny wild strawberries but the flavor just bursts!A lot of produce thst gets shipped is from breeding to emphasize genetic variations that meet shipping needs at the expense of flavor and scent. That said, being someone who has had anaphylactic reactions to some common foods i am not wild about transgenetic foods so we do not buy foods with five digit PLU numbers that begin with 8. (The other five digit PLU is organic, but those begin with a 9.)

Yeah, there certainly is biological confusion in the strip.

I think Keef is actually playing with that confusion. Keep in mind that Gunther’s roommate has not actually said he’s against vaccines.

90 lbs. Arms length. No sign of his hand squishing the sides of the strawberry. He must be really strong.

I’ve bought several of your books. But, if you’re an anti-vaccine nutball, no more. Are you willing to pay for the funerals and personally apologize to the parents of the hundreds of thousands or even millions of children worldwide who will die if they are not vaccinated?I doubt it.
