Believe it or not, “These Boots Are Made For Walking” was a big hit. I remember when record clubs advertised their selections in magazines, and the little pictures of this album were always in there, ubiquitous tiny icons..Nancy Sinatra didn’t really have a good voice, often wavering, but singers in the ‘60s weren’t necessarily required to sing like true professionals. Folk Music got us used to amateurish, unadorned renditions. Even the vocals in early Beatles songs aren’t always tight. I suspect Frank also was pushing his daughter in the industry..Nancy’s career didn’t last very long. Another well-known Nancy Sinatra song was “You Only Live Twice.”
