I live by the philosophy that when you’re wrong, admit it.Not that I’ve ever had to do that.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

She never claimed it but I’m sure she was thinking it.

I explained to my husband that the reason I’m right so often is that I don’t open my mouth and say things when I don’t know anything about the subject at hand.

Matter of fact, I have never been wrong in my entire life, except once — when I thought I was wrong, but it turned out I wasn’t.

From time to time, I read a comment from a poster complaining that his comment has been posted twice. I feel your pain.. By accident, I discovered that after you submit your comment, if you click on ‘refresh comments,’ you’ll see them both. Then you can delete one of them.Hope this helps.

Once in a training course led by a woman the statement was made that women think in “cognitive leaps”, while men think in a ’step-by-step" pattern. Therefore, women think faster than men and have a higher, faster rate of problem solving.Opal is well aware of this fact due to her long period of experiences with Earl. She is silent due to modesty in front of her grandson, who may grow up to be a lot like his grandfather. Silence is golden; no need to upset the boy.

Lastly, Mrs. H is right on target, also. Men have a deep desire to prove they know “everything” when in reality, they do not and thus often speak in error revealing their true ignorance on a subject.
