Non--parent You know, it was an easy building this museum. But if I see just one child smiling, it'll all be worth it. Parent If you see just one child, and it smiling, it probably just test on an exhibit.
as a child my mum would yell at me from another room to stop whatever I was doing. she always seemed to know when I was up to mischief without being there to see it. she told she had special powers given to all mothers. I believed it.eons later she finally confessed that if she could not hear me making noise wherever I was she assumed (correctly) that I was doing something wrong
The mother of one of my friends would shout at him from downstairs, .“What are you DOOO-iinngg, Roy?”.“Nuhhh- Fingg,” he’d shout back in a sing-song reply. And of course he was doing something, and would stop immediately..Something I always heard on “Here’s Geraldine”:.
Here’s a piece of good advice,Think it over once or twice.Be kind to your parentsThough they don’t deserve itRemember they’re grown upsA difficult stage of life. They’re apt to be nervousAnd overexcitedConfused from theDaily storm and strife.Just keep in mindThough it seems hard, I know -Most parents once were children long ago.Incredible!.So treat them with patienceAnd sweet understandingIn spite of the foolish things they do.Some day you may wake upAnd find you’re a parent too.Songwriter, Rome, HaroldSung by Pete Seeger
It takes years of polishing and restoring memories to believe that children are innocent and care-free and it is only the world corrupted by adults that is wrong.
