“Don’t Californicate Oregon”? Until the spendaholics in Sacto ran California off the rails, it was the 6th largest economy in the world. Oregon has always gone the “3rd world” route: resource extraction, very little high-value-added industry, low wage scale (Gov. “Sleepy Ted” Kulongoski is in Asia right now, trying to convince SOMEONE to send some of those low-wage, third-world jobs, to li’l ole Oregon…pretty please!)
Michigan cut the taxes on movies and we have a flood of Cl. folks coming to make them here now. So our REPUBLICAN head of Congress wants to reinstall the taxes while of DEMOCRATIC governor wants to keep the cuts in. Yeah, that’s right. I guess they only get tax cuts for the people who match their ethics.
