If you WANT to have her run off with Gregorio, that’s a good way of going about it.

Tia needs to think about this very carefully. After all, Gregorio is really just looking for is a nurse to take care of him.

Baldo may have put his foot in it too - who says Tia Carmen isn’t happy now?

I didn’t know what chispa meant - not covered in my 9th-12th grade spanish classes 30 years ago…

chispa feminine noun1. spark (de fuego, electricidad) •echar chispas (informal figurative) -> to be hopping mad

Sergio and Baldo are just saying they care in VERY different ways.

In the comic tv show ” chespirito” the expression was herd from time to time. The literal translation is sparks like those given off by fier or sparklers…or when when you scrape to objects together whose friction can cause fier. the term can be both happy or not depending on the conotation. In this case the friction tia carmen is causing might be a happy sparkler to her but it looks like sergio sees a fier in the future.

It is up to Tia Carmen because she has to make her own decision to get married Gregorio. Does Gregorio has his own health insurance? Without his insurance, does Tia have to pay the insurance more $$ for taking care of Gregorio? If I were in Tia’s shoes, I would say no. Burden on my shoulders too much to take care of loved one. sighhhh!

If I had a Great Aunt, I don’t even have an Aunt, I would still call her Aunt (her name). Not really that much different in either language.

    Carlos,

I enjoyed seeing the video on YouTube of you doing the interview on Majic 102.7. If I had known you were going to be on, I would have listened to it live since I live in South Florida. And watched the video later.
