    More importantly, he’ll be relieved at what he “won’t get” if he doesn’t improve the grades. Parents today….

    Mine were the same way and that is how I raise my children. If the grades are bad, there’s no video games or anything like that. If they are good, they are rewarded.

    If the grades weren’t great or at least reasonable, mom would spend the time helping. No rewards for excellent grades. Just help with the ones not so excellent. Except for graduation. Got a car. A used, 15 year old car. But I was the first one in my group to … Get a Car!
