Rip Haywire and the Curse of Tangaroa! Graphic Novel Rip Haywire: So I'm guessin' you've been wanting to use me to get you the gold all these years. Longbeard: That's right tall, dark and gullible! Only pure of heart could use the magic water-tunnel without incurring Tangaroa's terrible, Khan-like wrath! We figured we had just such a noble patsy right in our own backyardso to speak! And if we could get rid of the hex on our kin, so much the better. Since you were the last one to remove that statue, you're Cursey McGee now, Haywire! That's where your Mom came in- she wanted that curse off her bad- me? Friends and family are more of a curse than any old hex! I just wanted the sweet, sweet gold! Voice: And it didn't matter to you that you'd curse the whole lot of innocent folks and their pets? Voice 2: 15 tons of gold makes guilt melt away like rich, creamery, butter! Voice 3: And you being such an annoying goody two-shoes, I really wanted to wipe that righteous look off your mug!

Cobra agrees that gold makes guilt melt away like rich creamery butter. That’s her mantra—oh, I forgot, diamonds too.
