My last dog when she dreamed (paws going ,tail wagging ) I would say " it’s ok ,it’s ok " and she would stop her paw and tail movement and lay quietly ! I know she heard me and felt safe !

I tried counting sheep but could never figure out how the first sheep got back in line. The dream always morphed into trying to roast a leg of lamb without the critter making noise.(Sorry for the bad joke, too much coffee. :-)) )
