The rams want us to build them a top 5 stadium. I would agree to that only if they guaranteed us a top 5 team…. All we’ve had is 2 good years and then years of “what in the hell were they thinking”….
I don’t believe that LA didn’t support the Rams and Raiders before they left town. Georgia Frontiere didn’t want to play in a baseball stadium anymore and her hometown of St. Louis gave her a sweetheart deal. As for the Raiders, who knew why Al did what he did. The LA area supports 2 MLB teams, 2 NHL teams and 2 NBA teams. Why not an NFL team or two?
As for LA talking a good game and not delivering, spot on.
All of this is about what the NFL wants, not what the citizens of greater Los Angeles want. All the NFL can see is a giant unsliced pie that they want to bury their snouts in. LA football fans get to enjoy a full plate of games every week without tedious “Commitment to Excellence” and “Embraceable Ewes.”
Last panel… funny. Love Tank’s expression. The only way having more than one team playing at the stadium is going work……… make it a different sport.. So one team gets to be NFL. The other two……there is the other ‘footsball’ that we call soccer and the other ball carriers that play rugby.
