I lost 2 beautiful 8 year old Corgis to kidney failure caused by a treat I would give them, chicken jerky. Sounds innocent enough until you find out it came from China and was laced with melamine! Proven by lab tests and reported to the FDA. No product from China is to be trusted! Specifically food stuff for consumption by any living creature.
There are decent food products locally grown here – and Purina, for all their wonderful advertising, has no food in their food. It’s like McDonald’s for your pets.
@mggreen603: I’m sorry for your loss. I won’t feed my 2 dogs anything that does not give the country of origin. Also if the label says distributed by ______.

Saw an article on how farm raised tilapia in Asia are fed pig feces. No food, pet or human, from China!
