    Fardel: bundle or burden. Scullion: worker in the scullery (kitchen helper if you prefer). Contumely: insulting display of contempt or humiliating treatment. Bodkin: an oversized needle for punching through leather, thick cloth, or pinning up women’s hair. All except scullion are found in Hamlet’s “to be or not to be” soliloquy.
