My mom used to say “Eat your veggies, there are starving kids in Africa.” I got a smart butt retort back at her at the risk of my life. “Then send it to them.” I moved before she could back hand me.I did get a stern lecture from father who tried his best but kept laughing at the whole thing. Mom did not however. So she ended up mad at both of us.
