Unless I miss my guess, the strips following this one should be the “Thompson is in trouble” series, one of my all-time favourite story arcs.
Well, either that or a week of one-offs including “Woodstock throws boring parties” or “I hate playing ‘bat’” … I can’t seem to find my copy of “That’s Life, Snoopy”. But I’m pretty sure it’s the Thompson arc next. Can’t wait!
Snoopy later will think that Marcie is a dark-haired beauty. Well, she does have dark hair……..I just read a short biography of The Red Baron recently. Red shot down 80 planes, and his brother (The Ecru Earl?) shot down 40 himself. Wonder what Snoopy’s score is…….
this is one of my favorite comics. Both of them are pretending on two levels. Snoopy is pretending to be the flying ace and pretending that Lucy is a nurse. Lucy is pretending to be an analyst and pretending that Snoopy is her patient. Both of them are seeing their own reality. Very deep.
