Yep, most dogs are mono-estrus, coming into heat once a year. Some twice a year.

i thought neutering would remove all the aggressiveness. the fifth time i took our neutered cat to be repaired, i asked the vet. nope, it may slow the sex drive, but not the territorial protection gene.
