Seems to me that Ginsberg was associated more with the Beat Generation and the fifties than he was with hippies and the sixties, although I suppose there is no sharp line between the two eras. Still when I think of him I think of North Beach coffee shops, City Lights Bookstore, poetry readings, and stuff like that, not peace-love-dope, rainbows, and flower children. Maybe that’s just me. Still a great comic, and I shared with my friends.
