I have conserved my entire life, (raised that way) so I get tired of it when people tell me I can cut back. Makes me want to increase waste so I can actually cut back. Then again when I see others I realize why people say that, others are so extremely wasteful. Just an idea though, in my household we use less than 5 dollars of water per month. I can’t believe others use 100+ dollars of water per month.

The meter may be broken. Our gas meter died one tear, but I told them about it. They were glad enough I reported it that they didn’t charge me for the period it was out.

I thought that exercise in futility called “Earth Hour” happened a few weeks ago. I turned on every light in the house and burned a quarter tank of #2 fuel oil heating the submarine of a house in which I live.
