Indoors, well lit, comfy chairs…usually some nice food, or at least cake, or cookies…maybe coffee, tea, or wine….No rain, bugs, strenuous exercise or fire-building (well, maybe once in a while in a fireplace.)
Bonus: An excuse to sit in a chair on other days, while you read the book…and escape from exercise, errands, pulling weeds, rain and bugs then too!

I thought that’s what book clubs were for….

Kind of like the old fashioned neighbor girls’ coffee klatch. I vaguely remember my mother would go. They kind of fizzled out in the 60s it seems.
