I’m not sure what it is, what it does, or what Archie is doing on it in his boxer shorts, but he looks as giddy as a schoolgirl. As long as he’s enjoying a little harmless fun, I’m with Ethel on this one. Arch needs a little light in his life after that incident down by the pier.
I hardly ever say this about anybody…but in Archie’s case… with his new hobby in mind…It’s probably a good thing that he’s naturally a little high strung.
His brother George knows that….He’s the one who met Roger on the street one day…
(Click the picture if you’d like to revisit that day!)
George was fascinated…AND he knew that Archie was naturally strung pretty tight. So he called his brother, and proposed that they both join the Ballard Precision Pulley Club, which turned out to be the place where Archie began to excel.
Here’s a reprint from the Ballard Life Nosy Neighbor News from September 15, 2013:

BTW… Dogsniff has received no word yet on when he’ll be allowed back on the comics…
He wants me to thank everyone who has asked for his return, in the forums, in their user names, or by e-mailing the moderators.
My own opinion is that e-mail counts the most… I don’t think the mods read everything in the forums…mostly just what’s been flagged, or posts from people they’re already watching due to past flags.
So… if anybody else would care to write to moderator@gocomics.com and ask for Dogsniff to be re-instated, I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt.
Good morning BS’rs. Archie and his pullys. I just don’t know? Does he have a riggers license? Union ‘Crane’ operators train for these type ‘special’ use setups. Ah,i’ve been out of the loop for a few years.sigh. I remember..back on the yankee atomic plant, that 70ton crane,would..ah.. oh ya where was I? Peace. :)
@beviakI LOVE the parking etiquette lesson, and will share it far and wide. BTW, I just got rid of a ‘99 Suburban – if I still had it, I’d park it even closer . . .
I am glad to see they finally updated Archie and Betty in their golden years……..Betty was the better catch than Veronica who is trying to get a reality show about herself.Called….“How to be beautiful with no nose just a suggestion of a nose.”
You posted right in the middle of my posts, which was way late at night for me, and way early in the morning for you…
But though I “refreshed” all the comments more than once, I couldn’t see yours before I went to bed.
Sorry I missed it…and yeah… it’s a nice journey back through time…thanks!
And…um…. Monkey? After you advertised our premium Tiki Grill Homestyle Yakanana™ Dog Biscuits the other day, I had the bakery run up a few hundred extra, in anticipation of higher sales….
But …. well… I do the books on Mondays….and there were not that many extra sales…but…. and I hate to mention it…the biscuits were all gone…
So I was just wondering if…well, I mean, monkeys do love bananas… and you love yakmeat….so… did… um… well… you know….
