Obie, in obese dachshund in Portland, Oregon, lost 50 LBS in one year! The world's heartiest animal, the microscopic Tardigrade, has survived all five mass extinctions! Australia's oldest man, Alfred Alfie Date, age 109, regularly spends his time knitting sweaters for injured penguins.

If Garfield can boot Odie off a table, can he boot the “before” Obie off a table?

What if the penguins don’t want to wear the sweaters?
Just kidding.

Forgive me Mr. Date. Forgive me injured penguins. For some reason the sweaters for injured penguins caused me to laugh out loud for a couple of minutes. Mybe this is why I don’t get invited to social gatherings.

“In 2007, a group of European researchers pushed the resilience of this extraordinary animal even further, exposing a sample of dehydrated tardigrades to the vacuum and solar radiation of outer space for 10 full days. When the specimens were returned to earth and rehydrated, 68 percent of those that were shielded from the radiation survived, and even a handful of those with no radiation protection came back to life and produced viable offspring.”

Déjà vu… Has this one been published before or is it just a coincidence that I’ve heard of two of the subjects?
